Exclusive news! Story of the “Dinner in the Sky” with Joel Robuchon

A promise is a promise. Discover the pictures and video of the outstanding “Dinner in the Sky” night in Monaco.

On July 12, 2010, as part of “Dinner in the Sky Monaco 2010”, Joel Robuchon and his team at the Hotel Metropole Monte-Carlo gave a gourmet dinner in honor of H.S.H. Prince Albert II. Comfortably seated on a platform suspended 30 meters above the bay and overlooking the Rock and the Hercule Port, the guests discovered the menu carefully invented and elaborated by the world’s most awarded chef.

Once aloft, exquisite luxury is put first with chandeliers and glasses by Saint Louis Crystal and cutlery by Christofle. On the menu: “Le Caviar with delicate jelly and cauliflower cream”, followed by the “Lobster with organic corn penne and spicy coral emulsion”, and to finish the “Pink Bloom, light cheese cake with Tahiti vanilla, seasonal fruits”, served with the legendary Cuvee R. Lalou 1998, from the seven best Grands Crus of the Maison Mumm Champagne.

“I thoroughly wished to participate in this unique experience, especially for the Prince’s dinner. It was important to me and my team to represent the Hotel Metropole Monte-Carlo – in which I have two restaurants –as well as to allow the Monegasque clientele to taste a fine-dining menu in magic circumstances” explains Joel Robuchon.

Alike operations had already been organized in, among other destinations, Paris, Brussels, Las Vegas and Dubai, but this Monegasque edition was the first. This event had also a philanthropic purpose. One hundred euros per guest were donated to H.S.H. Princess Stephanie of Monaco’s Fight AIDS foundation.
